People who give to the FLAG Foundation come from a wide range of backgrounds; from corporate donors to former families or students who have traveled, to friends of the Foundation. They all share a common trait: a lifelong commitment to educational travel experiences and global citizenship. The founding leadership team and current Board Members have paved the way for the Foundation to give generously.
Jim Hall
Jim Hall has served as the CEO of WorldStrides since 1994 and is responsible for managing the Company’s day-to-day operations. Jim joined WorldStrides in 1982 and has served in numerous capacities, including Marketing Representative, Manager of the Company’s pension and profit sharing plans, Account Representative, Head of the Accounting department, Head of the Operations department, as well as Vice President of Operations, Air, and Accounting. Jim earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Northwestern University and a Master of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Virginia.
James Gerber
James Gerber is the CFO of WorldStrides and has served in Chief Financial or executive financial capacities for both profit and non-profit entities since 1994. Prior to joining WorldStrides, James was the Chief Financial Officer of the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation, a Federal agency, and prior to that held a series of financial leadership positions in both public and private companies in the railroad industry, with Sony Corporation, and with General Electric. He has served on the boards of the Art Institute of Chicago and the Boise Opera and currently serves on the Foundation Board of the Washington National Cathedral. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree from Princeton University and a Masters degree in Business Administration from Harvard University.
John Grey Tampa
The Reverend John Grey Tampa graduated with a B.A. in History from Le Moyne College and taught U.S. History in the North Syracuse School District. In 1982, he left teaching and served for 13 years as Vice President of Lakeland Tours, in Charlottesville, VA. Following a heartfelt desire to enter the ministry, he attended Virginia Theological Seminary and graduated with a Master's Degree in Divinity in 1998. Father John has served in several churches and is currently the Reverend of Emmanuel Parish in Southern Pines, North Carolina.
Terri Morgoglione
For more than 25 years, Terri has dedicated her career to WorldStrides and the organization's mission of enriching students' lives through experiential travel. Throughout her WorldStrides career, she has served in a variety of leadership roles, including marketing, operations, airline and vendor management, business development, and emergency operations. Today, as the General Manager of the University Division, she brings her broad experience to guide continual improvement across functional areas of the rapidly evolving company. Terri's travels have taken her to all six continents. Prior to joining WorldStrides, she was an educator in the Virginia public schools. She holds a BS and a Masters in Education from the University of Virginia.
